JOSEF ZAJAC Obituary
1926 – 2013
It is with great sadness that the family of Josef Zajac announce his passing on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the age of 87. Josef was born in Krakow, Poland on February 5, 1926 and then migrated to Germany for work at age 15. There he met and married his wife Maria and they were married for 64 years. In 1950 he immigrated to Canada with Maria and Irena, working at a farm in Alberta and later moved to Regina in 1952 where he lived until his passing. Josef worked at various jobs in Regina including the Ehrle Hotel, Bank of Montreal, and finished his career at Weston Bakery as the maintenance manager. He enjoyed hunting in his early years and was fishing into his late seventies. Josef is predeceased by his wife Maria, his grandson Jasson and five brothers. He is survived by his daughters Irena, Tammy (Jim), and granddaughter Sabrina. His is also survived by his brother Julek and numerous extended family in Poland. Special thanks to Angelita of Courtesy Care Home for the love and care she provided over the past three years. Celebration of Life for Josef and Maria will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Serbian Club, 1876 Wallace Street, Regina, SK.
