Joe Barresi was a fine man, and should be recognized for the historical significance he played in the establishment of the Inspector General community in the United States. Not only was he the first Inspector General of Massachusetts, but he was the first state Inspector General appointed outside of the federal system of government. Rest in peace Joe, and thank you for your groundbreaking service to the Inspector General movement in the United States.
