Today is Sat, June 28,2025 and I just found out that one of the nicest people that I knew and also worked with (Joseph Benjamin) had passed. I was a secretary at McDonough High School for many years when I met this young man who was such a nice, friendly, joyful person. I really thought a lot of this young man because he could always brighten your day with his smile. My condolences to Joe's family and friends.
The last memory I had of Joe was when he came into Popeyes one evenngduring his dinner break and I was sitting at a booth eating. As soon as he recognized me he immediately came over to greet me and he sat down telling me about all the things going on with the staff and other employees I used to work with. All during his visit with me, there was always that big beautiful smile. That is what I will always remember.
REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND

Joe was a special friend to our whole family and we loved all of our conversations with him! He came for dinner one night and said he wanted "The whole Shaw experience!" He loved all of the animals and we had a great time! Who couldn't have a great time with Joe?!! He was a very sincere, honest and loving soul. He was always in a good mood and he always lifted your spirits and could make you smile! Even at times when he might be facing a problem, he never let it get him down too much. Joe was very genuine and we loved him and we are all deeply saddened. The world is less bright because he isn't here to shine his light but I'll bet heaven is streaming with rays of bright light now! We'll see you again, Joe! Thank you, God for blessing us all with Joe.

I missed the fun times we had working together. You were always very respectful to me and everyone else. You always came and talked to me whenever you saw me it didn`t matter where we were at. There`s not too many people like you in this world and that`s for sure. This is a sad day for me and for many other people.

I will miss Joe every day. I will never forget the way he would say " Hey you !" He was my best friend and my brother. The world has lost some of its joy and hope since he is gone. It still doesn´t seem real that he isn´t here. Don´t be sad because he is gone be happy because you knew him.

Joe was a great neighbor and friend. He made it a point to remember our names when we first moved in and said hello every time we'd see each other on our shared sidewalk. He will be greatly missed by us all.

Joe was indeed a special Man. It's an honor to have known Joe. Our conversations at Church may not have been any deeper than a puddle, but they were special, each and every one.
I know that Joe is being cradled in God's Kingdom now, having completed his journey with us, and that is comforting to know.
My condolences for Joe's family, y'all are in my prayers.
