JOSEPH RICHARD, on June 7, 2013, of Deptford, NJ. Age 58. Beloved husband of Karen A. Black (nee Simpson). Father of Joseph Richard Black (Sarah) of Bridgeton, Robert Black (Teresa) of W. Deptford and Joshua Black (Rebecca) of Deptford. Son of the late Thomas and Florence Black (nee Murawski). Brother of John Black (Barbara) of Jamison PA, Joan Tedesco (Joe) of Philadelphia, Delores Fox (William) of Westmont, Robert Black (Rosemarie) of Mt. Ephraim and the late Thomas Black. Grandfather of Leena and Elcie.
Joe worked as a marine machinist at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 17 years. He was the owner of Bruna's Pizzeria in Magnolia for six years. He also worked at DaVita for several years before he was forced to take disability. Joe loved and adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He lived every day like it was his last, was quick with a joke and loved to tell stories. He encouraged others to be strong and "Play the cards you are dealt." He was a role model for his sons, a devoted husband and a proud grandfather. He can never be replaced! Joe will be greatly missed by many loving relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing Wednesday, June 12, from 6:30-9 P.M. and Thursday, June 13, from 8:30-9:30 A.M. at BOUCHER FUNERAL HOME, 1757 Delsea Dr., Deptford, NJ. Dear Karen and Family, We only knew you for a short time, but we can share many memories. Joe told Joe all about the pizza shop and other stories which he just shared with all of us. Wish we all had more time to share with him. But I am sure you will finish all his story's with us. Joe it has been a pleasure to know such a strong MAN. You are all in our prayers. I am sorry to hear of your loss. It is times like these that we want to remember happy occasions. However the scriptures say we will see our loved ones again. 1Thesssalonians 4:13,14.

To the Black Family, Joe was the best and we will miss him so much. He touched so many hearts with his humor and good nature. He always had a joke to tell even though he was in pain. He treated our son Lex as one of his own. He left a wonderful impression on all of those that he met. There are so many great memories of Joe. Stay strong. We love you and he will remain in our hearts forever.
