Joseph J. Bozek Jr., of Hanover Twp., passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at his home.
Born on March 13, 1972, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Nancy Searfoss Bozek Sr.
Joe was a 1990 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and attended Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School.
He was employed as a mechanic all his life, most recently working alongside his father at Bozek Automotive until his father's passing.
Joe attended Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke.
He received his first toolbox when he was in kindergarten and began drag racing when he was 17 years old. Joe loved drag racing, ocean vacations, family parties, cooking holiday meals, his dogs, Buddy and Harley, his cats, Max and Sam, and his damned scratch-off lottery tickets.
Joe was proud of his swimming pool and enjoyed watching the kids swim.
Surviving are his sister, Dawn Bozek, Hanover Twp.; lifelong friend, Robin Polomchak, Hanover Twp.; step-children, Ashley Polomchak and Geary Rinehimer and his wife, Nicole; step-grandchildren, Samaura, Kyle, Ilyssa, and Ian; nieces, nephews, step-neices and step-nephews; and mother-in-law, Florence Haas, Hanover Twp.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday from Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of services Wednesday.

So sorry to learn of Joe Jr. Passing. I didn't really know him but I did know his dad my cousin. May the good Lord welcome him with open arms. And may our God comfort his family and friends in this most difficult time.
