Joseph Bradley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 22, 2024.
Hey there! Let's give this a go with a touch of light-heartedness to honor Joe's jovial spirit:

We're gathered here not to say goodbye but to raise a toast to Joseph "Joe" Bradley, who, after 90 lively years, decided to sneak off to the grand celestial party upstairs on December 16, 2023. Our beloved Joe was born on April 3, 1933, in Ashley, Pennsylvania, and if life were a book, his would be a bestseller filled with chapters of love, laughter, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from a well-lived life.

Barbara, his partner in crime and wife of a remarkable 65-year adventure, will miss her favorite dance partner but knows the band's just gotten better in heaven. His kids, Kevin, Terry, Janice (plus one Joe K.), and Colleen (with her Tom), are already continuing his legacy of practical jokes and heartwarming generosity. The grandkids, Joshua, Rhiannon, Emily, and Alyssa, along with great-grandkid Andrew, have inherited his knack for storytelling and his irresistible charm.

He's been pre-greeted in the afterlife by a welcoming committee including his parents, Martin Leo Bradley and Catherine Ellen Bradley; his sister, Ellen Fryer; and his daughter-in-law, Kristine, who are likely already enjoying his famous (infamous?) puns.

Our Lady of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church will be giving him a send-off that's more celebration than ceremony. Join us at 1908 Waleska Hwy #108, Jasper, GA, on April 6th at 11:00 a.m. Bring your best "Joe stories" and a smile.

In true Joe fashion, he'd say "save your petals" and instead suggests you make a donation to the Wounded Warriors Project or your local animal shelter. It's what he'd want, besides maybe one last laugh.

As we tip our hats and bid Joe a fond "see you later," we'll keep the spirit of his humor alive. He may have left the stage, but the echo of his laughter will be our encore. Here's to you, Joe, the man who taught us that life is better when you're chuckling.

May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, Joe, and don't worry, we'll keep the punchlines coming down here. Heaven just got a little more spirited, and we can't wait to hear about it when we meet again. Cheers to you!

One of my favorite memories is playing catch with Joe when I was young, maybe 6 or 7 and I threw a wild toss to him. He didn't catch and it broke the window in our neighbors garage door. I never know we could run as fast as we did that day....
