Joseph F. Carlson

Joseph F. Carlson was born in Everett, WA on May 13, 1950 to Floyd and Shirlee Carlson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Richard.
He graduated from Snohomish High School in 1968 and went into the Navy. After many years in the Navy, he went to Rhode Island where he was a bartender and bar manager. He had many friends in RI and they will miss him greatly. He also spent time in Florida where he made many friends.
He is survived by his sister, Linda "Boomer" and Kathy of Everett; sister, Nance Boday of Mt. Vernon, WA; brother, Danny (Betty) of Snohomish, WA; and two nephews, A.J. and Dustin Lippert of Mt. Vernon.
Joe was caretaker at the American Legion Park in Snohomish for six years and then went to work for Comcast Arena as security and became the head of security. He loved going to the casinos, ice cream, and "Bud". He was lovingly called "Smiley" by his friends and co-workers.
A memorial potluck will be held at the American Legion Post 96, 1201 First Street, Snohomish, on August 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. All his friends and co-workers are invited.

I remember Joey as an irrepressible spirit. Heck, look at the picture. He looks like Beaver Cleaver. My Mom remembers him from the school patrol field trip to the Seattle World's Fair. He was in our group and she had to remind Joey that we couldn't do everything that day, and Joey wanted to do everything. A great and funny guy
