Joseph Cryan

Joseph Cryan, 84, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on Oct. 10, 2013 at Florida Memorial Hospital in Ormond Beach. Born: Born in 1929 in Oxford, NJ to Agnes Cryan. Personal: Married to Betty Riddle on March 4, 1949 in Oxford. They resided in Oxford until 1969 when they moved to Washington and resided there until 1986. They moved to Ormond Beach, FL until his death. He worked in the iron ore mines in Oxford in his young years. He then drove ready mix cement truck for Houdaille at various plants. He went to work for County concrete in Saxton Falls where he became the plant dispatcher until his retirement in 1986. He raced stock cars and other dirt tracks from 1950 to 1956. Survivors: Survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Joseph and his wife Connie of Washington, Thomas and his companion Colleen Pels of Washington; grandsons, Mark, Dale, and John of Washington; a sister, Joan Connolly of Washington; a brother, Tom Zellers of Phillipsburg. He was predeceased by his mother, Agnes and a brother, Richard Zellers. Services: Burial will be private.
