Joseph J. DeStevens, 67 of Oswego died Friday, 6/13/2025.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Louis and Mary Lou Wilson.
Mr. DeStevens had been employed for over 35 years in the Remelt and Hot Mill Departments at Alcan/Novelis in Oswego.
He is survived by his daughter Stacy M. DeStevens of Oswego, his son Matthew and Matthew’s Spouse Kristina DeStevens of Oswego, two sisters, Connie DiStefano of Washington State, Karen DeStevens of Oswego, nine grandchildren: Kyle Roland, Kali DeStevens, Mikayla Roland, Taylor Platt, Logan Platt, Addison Platt, Joey DeStevens, Tony DeStevens, Nick DeStevens. Mr. DeStevens also has three nephews, Joseph, DeRousie, William DeRousie and Daniel DeRousie all of Washington State.
Mr. DeStevens was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed all aspects of hunting, Fishing and trapping wild game. Mr. DeStevens also enjoyed gardening and took pride in his flower and vegetable gardens in his later years.
Any donations in Mr. DeStevens honor can be made to the American Heart Association.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
