Sorry for your loss!
We use to come down from Joliet and fish with your dad. Myself and Larry Fox and Ben Midlock.
I'll never forget I caught a huge stripper and Lynn carried it around like a baby!!

We send our thoughts and prayers to Mr. Joe's family.
He was always such a happy man tuning our pianos.
He will truly be missed.
He was so looking forward to spending time with his family.
God bless you all.

I was one of the guys who came down from Illinois every Spring to fish. I met Joe in 2012 and enjoyed his company when we got to see him. He was a genuine good guy and will be missed by us up here in Illinois. God bless.

At such difficult times, read God's words and find true comfort (Psalms 145:18,19)

The music of Joe's life was articulated by many keys harmoniously blended. The song is ended but the melody does linger on. I am compassionate for your loss and offer to all who wish it, God's keys to life, in righteousness and unending. John 3:16; 5:19,21,27-29; 11:25;17:3.

So sorry to hear of Joes death, I have fond memories of helping h costume students for his annual choral programs- ( my son was in the "presidential rap")and days at the ball park. He was a great teacher and everyone around him was touched by his enthusiasm for life! Prayers for family

Joe taught middle school and I taught college, but we both loved working on pianos. We weren't competitors--we were colleagues and good friends, and I will miss him. I was privileged to know him for over 30 years. Joe was a good man, and he will be missed by many.

It was a distinct pleasure to know you as a fellow teacher at Pinkston. I also enjoyed knowing your children as students. You made a difference in the lives of a multitude of children over the years. Rest In Peace.

We are so sorry for your loss. My father, Bob Matteo, was a mentor/fellow teacher of Joe's in Joliet and as a junior high student at the time I remember fondly my parents having Joe over for dinner frequently, and our family going to Joe's parent's house for dinner. I also remember when he brought Lynn to our house for us to meet her. We were all at their wedding. I loved them both. Then they followed my parents to AR when they moved there and they bought a house that my Dad had built in Midway, AR. When my parents moved to Maine to live in an apt. in our home, they lost track of one another. My parents, now 87 and 92 are shocked and saddened today to hear of Joe's passing and had no idea that Lynn had passed previously. Our prayers and thoughts re with the family. Debra (Matteo) Hall
