Joseph Thomas Fahy, Jr. Joey Fahy, Jr. was a man of many loves: sports of all kinds, his beloved San Francisco Giants and 49ers, swimming in any body of water he could find, comedy, music, movies and more.But the one true love of his life were his three children: his boy Charlie, his girl Emma, and his baby Jane.Joey was a big family man, and he was born to be a father.The eldest of 17 grandchildren, he loved the Fahy name truly and deeply, and made his children honored to call themselves the Fahys of the future.Joey's smile always shined brightest when coaching. He was proud to have deep-seated roots in both Fairfax and San Anselmo, and Santa Cruz was a part of his heart.In the end, he was a self-proclaimed "Novato guy" and loved his community to the core. Those who know him are aware of the fact that swimming was a part of his DNA.He swam his way to a B.A. in Economics from UC Santa Cruz and left success in his wake.He still holds two records at the Sleepy Hollow Pool standing strong after more than three decades. Joey Fahy will be remembered by so many people in a number of ways father, son, uncle, brother, coach, and friend. He is survived by his three children: Charlie Joseph, Emma Rose, and Jane Kathryn; his parents, Joe and Tina Fahy; siblings: Katie (Mike), Kristina, David (Briana) and Daniel; and his nieces and nephews: Michael, Taylor, Aimee, Johnny, Eddie, Gillian, Mark, Harrison, Phoebe, and Dominic. Joey was preceded in death by his brother Michael, and his grandparents, Kathy and Rob Bogenrief and Mary and Jack Fahy. We will carry Joey forward in our hearts every day.
