Joe, of New Castle Delaware passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the age of 24. Joe loved playing and watching football. (A Giant Fan since he was 3) but Joe�s passion was wrestling. He started at age 5. Joe also loved coaching wrestling. Joe was a 3 time Eastern National Champion and made All American twice in freestyle wrestling. After his 2 year old son, Teague, Joe was proudest of being a 2 time Delaware State Champion, once for William Penn and once for St. Mark�s. Joe was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Sonny and Frances Reed and his namesake and grandfather Joseph Ferrara. Joe is survived by his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Brown, the mother of his beautiful 2 year old son Teague Anthony Ferrara. He is also survived by his parents Anthony and Darlene Ferrara of New Castle, his grandmother Josephine Ferrara of Middletown, his sisters Nina Dietrich and her husband Doug of Middletown, Cathy Ferrara of Elkton, MD, Toni Dorsey and her husband Nick of Texas, Tiffany Cummerford of Wilmington, DE. Joe had too many Aunts and Uncles and cousins to name, but he was especially close with his nephews, Dontae, Doug and Gianni and his cousins Angela and Teresa Ferrara. Family and friends are invited to Joe's viewing and visitation with his family on Thursday September 18th from 6 to 9 pm at BEESON FUNERAL HOME OF NEWARK, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Fox Run, (302)453-1900 and again on Friday morning from 9 to 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday morning at 11 am, at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 2431 Frazier Road, Newark, DE 19702. Entombment will immediately follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Joe's family request a donation be made to �Teague Ferrara Education Fund�, c/o PNC Bank, 3840 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807.
