Joseph Francis Nadau du Treil, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 10, 2013.
Joseph Francis (Frank) Nadau du Treil, Jr. was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Yvette Marie Montagnet Nadau du Treil and Joseph Francis Nadau du Treil, Sr. and passed away on October 10, 2013 at the age of 63. He is survived by his siblings: Jean Francis Nadau du Treil, Dean Joseph Nadau du Treil, Mrs. Rose Marie Nadau du Treil Gallagher (husband, Edward F. Gallagher, Jr.), Frances Suzanne Nadau du Treil and nieces: Michelle Marie Gallagher Rojas (husband, Scott Rojas), and Jennifer Ann Gallagher Gray (husband, Tom Gray), and great nieces and nephew: Megan Rojas, Ryan Rojas, Hannah Gray, and Cassidy Gray. Frank lived in Covington, LA for the past 17 years. He earned an associate of arts degree from Delgado and was a mechanic and an avid fisherman who never ran out of fishing stories. He was a kind and gentle man who took care of small animals that would find their way into his backyard; he liked to grow vegetables, and was a very good cook. His family would like to extend their gratitude to Tulane University Hospital and Clinic physicians and nurses and the staff of Hospice Associates, especially his nurse, Denise, his social worker, Sarah, and his aide, Joy, for their excellent care and concern during the last months of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM.
