Joseph Frederick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 11, 2016.
Joseph Francis Frederick III was born on February 28, 1958, in Yonkers, New York. He passed away on February 9, 2016, in Fort Mohave, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Francis Frederick Jr. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Ann Frederick; his sisters, Lauren Frederick-King and Diane Frederick-Cunningham; his four children, Elaine and Valerie Frederick, Ariana Juarez, and Rudy Molina; and four grandchildren, Alycea, Marie, Jasper, and David Diaz. He leaves behind many more friends and family members as well.

In his early years, Joseph served as a radio operator for the United States Air Force. During this time, he had the opportunity to travel to many European countries, including Germany (where he was stationed), France, and England. He lived in and visited many states after returning home and ended up settling down in Bullhead City, Arizona, where he made many friends and colleagues working at the Riverside Resort and Casino and Spirit Mountain Casino, the latter of which he spent the last 20 years of his life working as Casino Manager. At Spirit Mountain, he met Glynis Lewis and became father to her two children, Ariana Juarez and Rudy Molina, and later fathered two more daughters, Elaine and Valerie Frederick.
He loved reading, watching sports, and performing his famous "Yo-dance." He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He will never be replaced and never be forgotten.

When you're young, you just believe there'll be many people with whom you'll connect with. Later in life, you realize it only happens a few times...

There was a definite connection with you. You were a good friend and a good co-worker when we worked together. I will miss our conversations about all things sports. And I will miss your constant up beat attitude. Thank you for the good times and special memories my brother. Rest in Peace......

I worked with Joe for 13 years at Spirit Mountain Casino. Joe was a very good person and I was glad to call him my friend. I remember he could bring anyone out of a bad mood with his special dance moves, Joe couldn't dance. So going to miss his smile, his friendship but most of all him. Prayers for healing to the family!
