A loving son, brother, and friend, Joseph "Joe" Grasso departed this life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the age of 61. He was a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Viola Grasso. He is survived by his sisters, Mary and husband Danny Vohsberg, Geraldine "Geri" and husband Joe Engels, Phyllis and husband Thomas Charrier, Carolyn and husband John Engels, and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe loved cheering on the LSU Tigers and Saints. Joe will be missed by his coworkers from the Gravity Drainage District One in Denham Springs where he worked for fourteen years as a mechanic maintaining and repairing all of their equipment from the small weed eaters to their largest track hoes. Joe also served on the Board of Livingston Sewer District 1 & 2 in 2015. Special thanks for compassionate care from the ICU nurses and staff from Ochsner Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospice. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm–8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 8:30 am until time of service at 10:30 am at Resthaven Funeral Home. 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
