JOSEPH MICHAEL
84, formerly of Jefferson Hills, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006 at the Vincentian Home in McCandless, PA. He was born March 9, 1922 in Charleroi, PA to the late Anton & Antonia Mance Grgurich. Mr. Grgurich was in the electrical field maintenance dept. for the U.S. Steel Corp./Clairton Works, was a WWII U.S. Air Force veteran serving in the European Theatre and was a charter/founding member of St. Thomas A. Becket Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. He was also active as a volunteer for Jefferson Regional Medical Ctr., the Cloverleaf/St. Elizabeth Food Bank and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole A. Kobulnicky Grgurich; three brothers, Andrew, Tony & John Grgurich; and two sisters, Catherine Grgurich and Helen Duffek. Survivors include two sons, Timothy J. Grgurich of Jefferson Hills, Mark N. (Janet) Grgurich of Baldwin; three daughters, Christine A. Grgurich of Bridgeville, Sr. Michelle A. Grgurich, V.S.C. of McCandless, Mary F. (Skip) Padgett of Carlisle; two sisters, Mary Lou Walters of Toms River, NJ and Dorothy Snyder of Chandler, AZ. Friends will be received Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 432 North Sixth St., Clairton, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10 a.m. from St. Thomas A. Becket Catholic Church in Jefferson Hills. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial donations may be made to the Vincentian Home, 111 Perrymont Rd., Pgh., PA 15237.

I miss you all so very much. Not the same at all anymore. Miss you Uncle Joe and I miss having you all visiting Aunt Helen too. My own father (your cousin) Jerome Kobulnicky has passed away on October 11, 2024.
Nothing is the same anymore.

Dear Christine, Michelle, Mary, Tim, and Mark:
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. How many childhood memories do I have of visits with you, your dad, and your mom? The passing away of yet another Grgurich out of that mighty group of eight siblings is very sad. Your father was such a vibrant personality. He was a character. Always fun and entertaining to be around, and it's apparent that both he, and your mom, rubbed off on all of you.
Germaine and I only got the news via an old friend back in Pittsburgh scanning the obituaries. I know you probably didn't have any contact information for us. Well, I'm leaving my email below. Please drop a line. I'd love to catch up when things settle down for you.
Again, my most heartfelt sympathies. Be strong. They're all getting back together again up there.
