Dear Fran, My memories of Joe are as glowing as his other classmates have undoubtedly shared with you. Reading about your 4 grandchildren and your 40 years of marriage really hit home for me. That is what I share with my husband Scott. Obviously you and Joe have been greatly involved in your community and that says a lot to me about the quality of life you two have been living. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family, Fran. Love, Kelly Jean Pace Bradley

We were very saddened to learn of your loss. We also feel very blessed to have had Joe touch our lives and to continue to be blessed by the memories of the small Unitarian gatherings at your home so many years ago. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers!

I have very warm memories of Mr. Groseclose. I will never forget being chased through your back yard by about fifteen angry people. It was late at night and as I jumped off the wall near the pool, I was caught like a fish in the volleyball net. Mr. Groseclose chased them away and helped me out of the net.

I was sad to learn of your great loss.

I didn't know Joe well but was looking forward to working with him in preparing for the SCMLA conference next year in Hot Springs for which he had volunteered to be Local Arrangements Chair. I was so impressed by his warmth and enthusiasm - his is a great loss for our organization and for UALR. I am making a contribution to UALR's Rhetoric and Writing program in his memory. My deepest sympathies to you all. Mary Anne Garnett, Division of International and Second Language Studies, UALR

Frannie, We are so sad for you but know that Joe is in a great place. Jerry and I just started remembering. Jerry said he and Joe played football together in high school. You and I met at OSU in 1958.

We pray that God and your faith will sustain you and all of your family in the time ahead.
