Joseph Robert Hoeflinger

Joseph Robert Hoeflinger, age 83, of McHenry died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at The Fountains at Crystal Lake.
     Joseph was born November 18, 1930 in Jersey City, NJ to Joseph and Anna (Weber) Hoeflinger. On August 27, 1960, he married Ina Joyce Glen.
     Formerly of Williams Bay, WI, and Grayslake, Joseph was a resident of McHenry since 1999.
     Mr. Hoeflinger enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and served during the Korean war.
     He was a plumber for his entire career, and had the honor of receiving his 50-year pin before retiring from the Plumbers Local Union 130 in Chicago.
Joseph was an avid boater, and enjoyed traveling with his wife in the eastern part of the United States.
     Survivors include two children, John (Cheryl) Hoeflinger of Gurnee and Elizabeth Shull of Alexandria, Virginia; six grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Caitlin, Diana, Olivia and Victoria.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Joyce Hoeflinger, on September 4, 2004.
     Family will be receiving friends prior to the mass. The funeral mass will be at 7 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee.
     The graveside service will be held in Mound Cemetery in Charleston, Illinois, at a later date.
