Joseph Hosler Obituary
Joe was born on September 24, 1953 in Fort Bragg, NC, the son of Dean R. and Carol A. (Reed) Hosler.
He was united in marriage to Teresa Allred on December 6, 1975 in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter: Jessica (John) Tackitt of Watervliet, MI; a son: Justin (Laura) Hosler of Huntington; a sister: Judy (Steve) Adams of Huntington; a brother-in-law: Mike Thornsbury of Warsaw and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dean and Carol Hosler and a sister: Joni Thornsbury.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at Central Christian Church, 500 MacGahan Street, Huntington, Indiana.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Central Christian Church with Pastor Chris Hayden officiating.
Memorial donations may be made out to Fair Haven Foundation Inc. in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.

Joe wrote the book on inspiration, and then lived it every day. I will miss this great man. My heart is with Teresa, and I pray for her strength. Word of this loss came to me from Virginia today. Please call if I can help in any way.

Joe was a great boss, he was patient, understanding, a good teacher and reflected God in his actions. We'll continue to pray for all who are missing him right now, remembering that we'll see him again soon in heaven!

It's hard to find words to tell you how much we love Joe and the whole Hosler family. We have so many cherished memories. All of you were so kind and loving to Mom. We share in your sadness and we will always treasure our wonderful memories. He was a wonderful man and we loved him.

There are many wonderful memories of Joe- I would ride the combine with him during harvest time in the fall and just listen to his stories and his extensive farming knowledge and experience. He was a gracious and giving person - another favorite story of mine was when we visited his grandparents (my uncle and aunt), Uncle Victor and Auntie show us a very nice coffee table Joe had made for them and they were so pleased with the gift. There will be many who have memories of Joe - that is important at this time. Our sympathy goes to his family and friends - treasure the memories.

I got to know Joe many years ago when I first joined 4-H in the Farmer Lad's club. Over the years Joe always had a smile when we would see each other in a store!
