Yesterday I ran into a friend of Joe`s who informed me of his passing. I didn`t want to believe him; I was very sad.
I thought very highly of Joe, and even though it had been several years since I`d seen him, I will really miss him. So many good memories as a teenager fishing with Joe in the rowboat -- those I will never forget. Love you Joe; rest in peace man.

It has been an entire year since you unexpectedly left us. I am sure you already know this, but your family misses you dearly. You have touched so many peoples lives, not just family but close friends like Deano. I have heard wonderful stories about you...sounded like you were a sassy guy growing up. Too funny! I just want you to know that it is a pleasure to know your parents. Mary, your mother, is a fantastic woman, mother and role model. She is also such a strong and courtagous lady. And your dad...all I have to say is he will be loving "girls" sports soon. I didn't have the oportunity to meet you, but I am Deans wife and we have a wonderful little girl a little older then your nephew Will. Her name is Lily, and she will kick butt someday in sports. We all still miss you and love you dearly.

Dear Fred, Mary and family,
I feel like I have lost a brother. I am heart sick over Jojo's tragic and sudden death. Jojo and Danielle had a special kind of love for each other, a fairytale, "sweep you off your feet" kind of love story. Not many people are lucky enough to experience this kind of love in their lifetime. Jojo was one of the lucky ones. I am glad they were able to be together, even for such a short period of time.
When I asked Jojo to be my daughter Amelie's Godfather, his face lit up with joy. I never imagined such a simple question could make someone so happy. I could tell Jojo truly loved and valued family and I am so thankful that he was a part of mine.
I think of you and your family daily, and want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers always.

To Danielle and JoJo
Watching the two of you together was like watching a sweet love story yet unfolding.
The simple exchanges of looks, touches and words were that of two old souls reunited. Words did not have to even be spoken for some magic to happen between the two of you.
When I look into the dark night sky and see the stars, I find comfort in knowing that the biggest, brightest most shiny one is JoJo. The twinkle is from his eyes, the sparkle from his smile, and his ringing laughter fills the universe.
He will look after you from above Dani, sending his love, joy, comfort, peace and laughter for the rest of your life.
Your lives together will not be forgotten, his joy here on earth will never be forgotten, his smile, his laughter and his memory will continue to live in all the hearts of those who know him.

Although we personally never had the opportunity to meet Joe, we were at the wedding he attended the night before he passed. I felt compelled to let you know that his unexpected and untimely death has touched me and all of the staff that catered the wedding.
