Joseph Kosinski, 90, formerly of East Hampton, CT passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Middletown Ct. Joseph is survived by Genevieve (Sapinski), his wife of 67 years and his children Michael, Christine, Richard and Marybeth, ten grandchildren and thee great grandchildren. He was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Genevieve and Joseph the eldest of three children, followed by Edwin and Dolores. Joseph left Fall River, very young, to attend Indiana Technical College where he graduated with a BS in Aeronautical Engineering. He landed a job with Republic Aviation, on Long Island, NY where he helped perfect one of the fighters that won the war. He was an integral part of the industry that changed from propeller to jet engine airplanes. He experienced a full and exciting career as a chief flight test engineer for military airplanes and then moved on to Boeing and domestic airliners. In retirement, he and Genevieve traveled the world visiting most of the countries of Europe. They also enjoyed cruising. He loved old clocks and a house full of music. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 17th from 2-4 pm. at the Robinson Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St. Centerbrook. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, June 18th at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Prospect St. Essex at 10am. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery ,Essex.
