Joseph M Kwait

Joseph M. Kwait passed away, unexpectedly, on June 4, 2025. He is survived by his three sons, Carter, Colby, and Conrad; his Mother, Ann Murray Sloan; his three siblings, Michelle Kwait, Lee Ann Kwait, and David (Julia) Kwait; and his nieces and nephews, Aliah, Theodore, Molly, and Louis. He was predeceased by his father, David J. Kwait, and his beloved brother, Philip D. Kwait.

Joe's quick wit and joy of making others laugh always made you want to be in his orbit. At the center of his universe were his three boys, Carter, Colby, and Conrad. He loved attending all of their sporting events, spending time with their friends, and enjoying the outdoors with them. Their favorite trips were to Lake Tahoe, where they all shared a love of skiing. They were his greatest gifts in life.

Joe grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and loved spending time with his extended family in Chicago. Throughout his early childhood years, he was known by friends and family to be kind, funny, and inclusive of others. At a young age, his positive and outgoing personality drew in many friends, and he maintained those friendships from grade school through college and into adulthood, where he met friends everywhere he went. Years after moving away from Pennsylvania, he stayed true to his beloved Steelers and passed down his love of all things Pittsburgh to his boys.

He loved spending time with his family and many friends, and that of course always included his adored golden retriever, Cassie. He enjoyed having people over to watch sports, most notably every UFC fight, commanding the grill and making everyone feel at home.

We will best remember Joe's outgoing personality with deep love, a man who did all he could to brighten your day and share in a laugh with you.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Joe on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM, St Anselm Catholic Church, 97 Shady Lane, Ross, CA 94957
