Joseph LaForte Obituary
63, of Sewickley passed away on April 27, 2009, at Sewickley Hospital. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of forty-three years, Diane (Zube) LaForte; his six children, Joey (Tina) LaForte, Rene (Ben) Guess, Donna (Frank) Courtney, Chuck LaForte, Chrissy (Tim) Huber and Bryan LaForte; his seven grandchildren, Marguerite, Francesca, Maxwell, Sam, Anna, Josephine and soon-to-be baby girl (Joey & Tina); his two sisters, Ann Nolan and Agnes Damon; his two brothers, George (Nancy) LaForte and Mario (Debbie) LaForte; his six sister-in-laws, Rita, Linda, Barbara, Loretta, Sue, and Janet; his two brother-in-laws, Chuck and John; as well as many nephews and nieces. Joe, who was affectionately known by family as "Butch," was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, and flowers. He was a faithful member of St. James Catholic Church in Sewickley. Visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 pm, and 6-8:30 pm at COPELAND in Sewickley, 702 Beaver St., with Prayer on Friday at 9:30 am, followed by a mass at St. James Church, 212 Walnut Street, Sewickley at 10 am. Burial private at Sewickley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to Sewickley Valley Hospital Foundation, 720 Blackburn Road, Sewickley, PA 15143 or to St. James Church, 212 Walnut St., Sewickley, PA 15143. The family also encourages donations to your local blood bank, if you are able.

My deepest condolences to the LaForte Family. Joe(Butch)& I were very good friends when we both lived in Rosleand. We both attended St. Anthony's & Mendel. I have many fond memories of those early years growing up together.
Rest In Peace My Good Friend.
