JOSEPH H. LEBEAU JR. LAKE PROVIDENCE, LOUISIANA Cox Funeral Home Lake Providence, Louisiana Joseph H. LeBeau Jr., died June 9, 2010. Born on June 12, 1921 in Harmitage, Louisiana, in Point Coupee Parish, he was retired from the USDA where he served as county supervisor of the East Carroll Parish FmHA from 1953 until 1984. He also retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army in 1980. Mr. LeBeau served in France with the 13th Airborne in World War II and again in the Korean conflict. He was in the Army reserve until his retirement in 1980. He graduated from LSU in 1947 with a degree in agronomy and attended Georgetown University. He was a long time resident of Lake Providence, where he was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wilda Durham LeBeau; his parents, Joseph H. LeBeau Sr. and Leoni Guillaume LeBeau; brothers, Elton and Francis; sisters, Gladys Dabadie, Thelma Schutz and Vivian Baillou. He is survived by two sisters, Mabel Deville and Genivieve Jordan; his children, Joseph H. LeBeau III, Paul LeBeau and his wife Evelyn, Marie Tesson and her husband Mark, Bobby LeBeau and his wife Kathy, Frances Kennedy and her husband Curt; his grandchildren: Craig LeBeau, Brittany Barefield and her husband Jason, and their son, Liam; Alana Bolding; Joseph W. LeBeau; Todd LeBeau; Tommy LeBeau; Karina Tesson and Michael Tesson; Brandon Robertson and his wife Melanie and their children Miranda and Riley; and Rusty Bennett. A child of the depression and a true member of the greatest generation, he was a wonderful husband and father and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be Friday, June 11, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m., at Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence. Funeral Mass will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lake Providence, Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 a.m. with interment at Providence Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Shields, Lee Broussard, Excel Hankins, Avery Jones and Gene Edmondson. The family expresses its sincere thanks to Dr. George Fakhre and the staff at West Carroll Memorial Hospital for everything they did for Mr. LeBeau.
