He possessed a gentle kindness. He was loved and respected for being a compassionate man - a true mench. He was devoted to his family and dedicated to his community. He loved life and taught us to appreciate all that life had to offer. With a strong work ethic, his successes were achieved because of his attention to all details. He never retired and was active in business to the end. One of his memorable sayings was "remember to make an appointment for yourself". His sense of humor made us smile. His insights enriched our lives. His unwavering devotion to his wife Miriam was an inspiration to us all. He was a lifelong member of the Downtown YMCA, the Beth Israel Synagogue, and proud citizen of Edmonton. Funeral Service will be held at the Beth Israel Synagogue, 131 Wolf Willow Road, Edmonton, Alberta at 2:30 PM on Thursday, April 5, 2007. This will be followed at the Edmonton Jewish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joseph Lutsky Mitzvah Fund at Vancouver General Hospital, the Edmonton Beth Israel Synagogue, the Downtown Edmonton YMCA, or the charity of your choice.

Joe Lutsky, with saddnes we join your family in bidding you rest. We were graced to know you and your endearing and caring qualities - to hear your words of hope and encouragement. To have shared wonderful moments with you and Mariam. You were steadfast in your quest for a brighter tomorrow. We will miss you dearly.

What was begun will continue. Mr. Lutsky will live on in his legacy of leadershp in business, in his love of family and also in the memories of friendship he leaves in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his devoted and loving children, grandchildren and family. May you each receive strength and comfort at this difficult time and in the days to come.

We've met in Vancouver just for a brief hour at a restaurant, sharing a family celebration on behalf of Binny Goldman's birtday. We do remember your inspiring words, and your lovely smiley look. We share these sad days with the family, sending condolences to Peter, Shari, kids, Binny and Herb Goldman and to the entire family.
