Joseph Mazzola Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 30 to Jul. 29, 2022.
Joe passed away on June 30th surrounded by family after a long illness. He was born in Boston on July 28, 1941 and was raised in Brighton, MA. He lived in Groton, MA for over 30 years, and spent his last 20 years in Port Charlotte, FL. Joe could often be found enjoying life by playing bocce and pickle ball at the park in Port Charlotte. He enjoyed helping others by delivering food to those in need for Meals-on-Wheels. His generosity with his time and energy to those in need made an impact on those who knew him. In his younger days he would enjoy listening to music and singing and dancing with his wife and 2 daughters. He looked for ways to help others, often doing electrical work for people who needed help and couldn't afford it. Joe leaves behind his wife Carol Mazzola of Groton, MA, daughters Marnie Mazzola of Groton, MA and Jodie Perry of Carlisle, MA, 3 grandchildren, Chloe Stone, Cole and Lila Perry, sister Laura Nash of Lake Susie, FL and sister Mary Gjika of Watertown, MA. He will be remembered with such fondness and love by both family and friends.

Joe, was great guy and a good neighbor.
He'd swing by on occasion and shoot the breeze while he was out riding his bike. We talked about a month before he passed and he told me about his diagnosis. Condolences to his family. Prayers 4 Joe and may he RIP
