Joe and I served in the First Infantry Division and he came to Bayonne when I came home to be with my brother who was a POW in Korea. Our friendship lasted over 60 years.
I met him in Commack, LI in 2009 with my wife. And the minute our eye's met we both smiled. Even after all those years gone by.
I notified all of our good Army buddie's of his passing. We will all miss him. A great friend and a great American...

To Joseph Petralia Family,
The Trippiedi Family is so sorry for your lose. We knew Joe through my niece Marie Vitale and attended many functions with them. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one, especially your father. I know he is in Heaven looking down on all of you, and keeping watch over you. Joe was a great man and gentlemen. We are so sorry that we can not attend the viewing , but all our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless you all. Stay Strong.
With much Sympathy

Dear Uncle Joe, Thank you for all our family memories. From Brooklyn to Long Island. All the fun times our family has shared together . I will never forget all the New Years Eves spent with you and Aunt Flo. At midnight she made sure we put on our hats ,had our horns ready and she would have the pot and pan covers. We would march down the street and go into all the neighbors houses and march right back out. On to the next house. Time goes by so fast. You have left our family to soon and will be missed forever.....Rest in peace... All my love your niece Marian....
