He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
McHENRY - Joseph H. Pistone, 66, of McHenry, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
He was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Chicago, to Joseph A. and Irene (Deane) Pistone. On March 29, 1975, he married Donna Ryan in Chicago.
He was born and raised in Chicago. He moved to McHenry in 1979.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a loving husband and Pa Pa. He enjoyed golfing and listening to smooth jazz.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna; two daughters, Tracy Ramsey of McHenry and Jennifer (Matthew) Christenson of Huntley; two granddaughters, Mercedes Ramsey and Emma Christenson; his mother, Irene, of Chicago; two brothers, Anthony Pistone of California and Gerald Pistone of Chicago; a sister, Nancy (Frank) Kopczyk of Chicago; and a niece, Kellie Rice of Lindenhurst.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, in June 1996.
Friends may meet with the family from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry.
Inurnment will be private.
Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
