Joseph Rescigno Obituary
Born in New Haven, Aug. 19, 1938, he was a son of the late Julius and Nellie Santello Rescigno. Joseph had served in the U.S. Army. He was vice president of Plasticrete Block and Supply until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Gary) Sloss, of Naples, Fla.; brothers and sisters, Julius (Lil Salemme) Rescigno, of Deerfield, Fla., Roseanne (Peter) Zingarella, of Pompano Beach, Fla., Gloria (Herman) Capozzi, of Branford, and Anthony (Lynne) Rescigno, of North Haven; grandchildren, Desiree and Troy Sloss. He is also survived by his fiancée's children, Glen (Julie) Zullo, Lisa (Tommy) Castelli, and Marla (Thomas) Whalen; his fiancée's grandchildren Allie, Timothy, Danny, Billy, Jack; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 18, 2008, at St. Frances Cabrini Church. Interment was in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The North Haven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Tourette's Disorder, 15735 Prestancia Court, Moreno Valley, CA 92555.
