The Lord took your Father peacefully and quietly. The way Mr.Saggio lived his life. I have so many wonderful and warm memories of your Dad. As a child I felt special when he would greet me. Always with a twinkle and a hug. Your Dad was a part of some of my milestones. Went to Sally's after my High School graduation, he served me my first legal drink, gave me a thumbs up when I introduced him to a date, he danced at my wedding with Maggie in his arms and he was there when my parents passed away. There will never be another Mr.Joe Saggio. God Bless Maggie, Chris, Mary Jo, Joe and Peter.

Chris and the entire Saggio family, I am so very sorry to learn of Joe's passing. He and Leo Crivello were a great team at the Packing House. As others have stated, Joe knew how to tend bar but, he made it an art. He truly was a part of an era that is slowly going by for all of us.

Magoo and family. I am so very sad to hear the news about Joe. I can say that I personally have many good memories of Joe, his kind heart, his obvious love for you Magoo, his great smile and eyes, and the friendship he showed me when Rich passed over four 1/2 years ago. I am so happy that I had the privilege to have known him. I know that he and Rich are once again sharing a cocktail and stories together and watching over us. He will always be with you Magoo and believe me you will feel him every day.

The Art & Bette Walter Family was shocked and horribly saddened to hear of the passing of their dearest friend Joe..My parents heard of the passing as my Mom was mailing 3 cards at the post office in Pickerel, Wi. Pickerel is the yearly vacation spot where the Saggio and Walter Families met and thru the next 40 some years shared many a fishing escapade. I, personally, will never forget how Joe Saggio made me feel.. With his wit and laugh, and twinkle in his eye.. he always let me know how special I was to him.. like one of his own kids..then as we had children how he made them feel..always a fishing secret with a hearty laugh, and a hug before you left. All I can say in this sad time is how lucky we all were to have had Joe Saggio in our lives. I know he has left footprints on my heart..To Maggie and kids, I pray the fondest memories of Joe and your Dad, help you thru the hardest moments ...We always loved going into Packing House knowing Joe would be there, and how we helped him celebrate his 50 years of bar tending a year ago.. Joe is an icon and the greatest legacies he left behind are his wonderful children..You all have our deepest sympathy.. and by the way one of the 3 cards my mom was mailing in Pickerel was for Maggie & Joe's Wedding Anniversary this week..a special hug for Maggie..The one reading that truly helped me understand the pain when Myron passed away 3 years ago is this.."At the end of your life-path is an entrance to heaven. Only I know when you will reach that destination, but am preparing you for it each step of the way.The absolute certainty of your heavenly home gives you Peace and Joy, to help you along your journey. You know that you will reach your home in MY PERFECT TIMING: NOT ONE MOMENT TOO SOON OR TOO LATE. Let the hope of heaven encourage you , as you walk along the path with ME"..may you rest in Peace, Joe, till we meet again. Love and hugs, Carrie Lenz.. Art & Bette Walter.

To the Saggio family, Please accept my deepest sympathy with Joe's passing. What a great and fun guy to work with. Many times he hoped over the bar to help me out at Antone's. He showed me what bartending was all about, not just serving drinks. He was a class act,and will be missed.

My heart broke to hear of Joe's passing. I have so many memories of get togethers at the house on Maryland Ave. My husband and I went to the Packing House for dinner for our anniversary and Joe gave us 2 mini bottles of champagne to take home to celebrate. Always smiling and always got a squeeze on my cheek, that never changed thru the years. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the lord. My deepest sympathies to the family.
