Joseph Saxon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 11, 2017.
Joseph Stewart Saxon, 80, of Bellevue Washington, passed away on the evening of December 9th 2017 at his home. He was born in Los Angeles California to Joseph & Ruth Saxon, December 2nd, 1937. He was preceded in death by both his parents and brother Irv. Joe spent most of his early years in Southern California before finally settling in Bellevue in 1979.

Joe was married in Los Angeles California on January 28th, 1973 to his wife Daisy (née Gonzalez). Joe is survived by his wife Daisy, sons Marcus Allen (Charoleen Marie), Daniel Joseph & daughter Rebecca Ann, along with many loving and caring cousins & extended family. Joe was looking forward to becoming a Grandparent for the first time in Spring 2018. Joe was a loving father, husband and friend to all.

Joe was an Accountant by trade; working in several industries that included Retail, Business Brokering & the Boeing company. He was awarded military honors for his distinguished service for his action in defending his country, that he loved dearly.

Joe loved sports. He especially adored his Huskies, Mariners, Seahawks & Supersonics. Everyone knew Joe's affinity for his sports memorabilia. Joe enjoyed the memorabilia, along with attending sports games, traveling, spending time with friends and family as well as practicing within his Jewish faith while studying the roots of its storied history. He always enjoyed a hot cup of 'Joe', was easy-going, would give you the shirt off his back, was a proud University of Washington alumnus and always had time for a good story and joke.

At Joe's request, his burial will be private; he will be laid to rest at the Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue Washington. His Memorial Service will be at Temple B'Nai Torah in Bellevue on Thursday, December 21st at 11:00am. Memorials may be made to your charity of choice.

Dad you are the best man I've ever known. You were loved and respected by so many. There is a huge part of me that is missing now. You always made me feel loved and supported. I miss you so much it hurts. I miss our dinners. I miss our conversations. I miss your voice. I miss every part of you.
Rest in peace, dad. Please know how much I love you. Forever.

The grief from losing you has crushed me. The disbelief that we'll never talk again truly saddens me. However, I'm grateful there were no regrets between us. You were proud as to where I am headed in life & that YOU KNEW you were finally going to be a Grandparent.

It would take too many words to describe what a fantastic guy Joe was! He always made you smile, he always made you laugh and tonight when I heard the news of his passing for the first time he made me cry!

Joe - You have left us too soon. As pledge brothers we had a fun time and built a solid friendship. It has been great meeting again and knowing you as adult. I regret I was gone from Seattle for so many years and that we had so little time after I returned. DeDe and I send our condolences to your wife and children. Memories of you will live on. Rest in peace.

Joe, I'm going to miss you! Thanks for all of your kindness and generosity towards me and other people. And, I know how humble you were, and really didn't want to broadcast your horrendous experience in Vietnam, but thanks for all of your sacrifices there!
