Joseph Albert Scerra, 73, of Union, NJ passed away on October 4, 2015 at St. Barnabas Hospital, Livingston.
Joseph was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Union for 33 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by Local 1 Elevator Constructors for 35 years. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Louise Scerra. Loving father of Tracy Scerra and Joey Scerra. Adoring grandfather of Penelope Lainer-Scerra. Dear brother of Jeffrey Scerra and Janet Kraft.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 8th from 2-4 & 7- PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union NJ 07083. A funeral service will be offered on Friday, October 9th at 10 AM at St. Theresa's Church, Kenilworth, with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
