Joseph J. Sharon

SHARON, Joseph J., 79, of New Port Richey, passed away on June 12, 2004 at his home. He was born on April 19, 1925 and came here 21 years ago from East Detroit, Mich. Joseph was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where he was an usher. He was past President of the ushers at St. Basil Catholic Church in Eastpointe, Mich. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council Leo XIII, as well as a member of the Polish American Club, Italian Club, the Moose Club and was a member and former president of the Fairway Springs Bowling League. He was a World War II Navy veteran, and was a retired superintendent with Chrysler and also retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Stella; two sons, Joseph of St. Augustine and Steven of Tampa; three daughters, Nancy Perkowski of Hudson, Denise Fallon of New Port Richey and Patricia Sharon-Ryel of Odessa; two sisters, Lee Tyszka of Allen Park, Mich. and Eleanor Edgington of Detr oit; and eight grandchildren.
