Although we had not seen Uncle Joe in a while he was with us in thought. We remember the good times at family functions and especially Aunt Ruth . Our prayers are with our cousins Linda ,Joe and Laurie .

My heart and prayers go out to you as you deal with the loss of your father and grandfather. He will be missed by so many and thought of fondly. May the memories of your father comfort you now and always.

My brother Joe was so sweet to his two younger sisters, Anne & Jeanette. Whenever he had any extra money (as a young boy) he would go to the local bakery (Widen's ?) and buy day-old goodies like doughnuts and sweet rolls and pie, and he never failed to share them with us! He used to love day-old pie for breakfast.
Also, I remember that when Joe was in high school (Parker High School), the principal was his uncle Joseph B. Shine. Thus, Joe always had to be on his very best behaviour and was always getting "ribbed" by other students.
Also, I recall that when Joe was in the service during World War II(once they found shoes big enough to fit him), he was stationed in Guam and learned to snack on pretzels dipped in mayonnaise - - Yuck! When he came home, he would eat this in front of us and we all thought it was gross.
Joe, we are going to miss you and your wry sense of humor. Love, Anne
