Joseph M. Sr.
Gates: Passed away Saturday March 19, 2011 on St. Joseph's day at age 78. Predeceased by his wife, Virginia; sister, Josephine; brothers, John and Michael. He is survived by his children, Joseph Siracuse Jr., Sandra (Mark) Voelkl, Peter (Denise) Siracuse; 4 granddaughters, Ella, Maya, Riley and Peyton; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a US Army Veteran. He was an entrepreneur, first co-owning Syracuse Collision and then later owning Lake Avenue Carwashes. He was also a skilled handyman, able to build or fix anything. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to his many kind and compassionate caregivers at the Friendly Home including his special friend Theresa. Family and friends are invited to attend Joe's Visitation on Monday from 3-7 PM at the Funeral Home 1411 Vintage Lane (between 390 & Long Pond Rd.). Joe's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Helen's Church (310 Hinchey Rd.) Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Attn: Memorial Donations, PO Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.

Dear Peter, Joe and Sandy,
We are so sorry to hear about your father. Our Mom always spoke well of your Dad as well as you kids and the whole Siracuse family. The world will seem an emptier place without your father, but your parents love will live on in you their children and in everyone who was blessed to know them.
