Joseph Thauberger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 16, 2010.
Joseph Thauberger Joseph was born in Regina Saskatchewan on March 29, 1934 and died on March 8, 2010. Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mona (Madole). He will be remembered by his daughter Linda J. Thauberger-Smith (Mark), his son Christopher M. Thauberger (Belinda Deausy), their children and grandchildren, their mother Jean Greabeiel, his sister Dorlynn Schneider(Rudy), brother Ken Thauberger, sister Phyllis Karst (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews. Joe lived his whole life in the Regina area and enjoyed a successful career as a photographer: with the Leader Post in the 1960's and later with his own company Graphic Films. He had many loves in his life: music, art, cooking, wine, politics, and his friends. Joe always had a beautiful garden and in later years had a small greenhouse where he spent many hours working. He was also an avid stamp collector. Although Joe was solitary in his later years, he was very active in his younger years. Joe was a member of the YMCA since his early teens and volunteered with the YMCA in various capacities. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Regina and belonged to the Regina Press Club. In the late 70's Joe moved from Regina to acreage just outside of Edenwold Sk. where he spent several years renovating an old church. The church was his home until the early 90's when he moved back to Regina where he lived until his death from heart disease. We love him and will miss him. At Joe's request, there will be a private graveside service. Condolence may be sent to 186-918 Albert Street Regina Sask. S4R 2P7. Arrangements are entrusted to Paragon Funeral Services.
