On Monday, January 10, 2005, of of Forest Hills and a long time resident of Swissvale, age 90, beloved husband of Rosemary Brunetti Venturella; loving father of Joseph Venturella, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Forest Hills, Sharon Batko of Monroeville and Jeffrey Venturella and his wife Lorraine of Canonsburg. Joe is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is the founder and former owner of Venturella's Service Station on Woodstock Avenue. Friends received 2-9 p.m. WEDNESDAY ONLY at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC. 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial in the Madonna del Castello Roman Catholic Church, Thursday, 9:30 a.m. (Nied Funeral Home is a proud member of the Good Grief Center). www.niedfuneralhome

My deepest sympathies to all who loved him. Joe let me sweep the floor of the garage and hold the light for him while he taught me about cars and life,when I was a

snot nosed little kid. he was a great man who had a tremendous influence on me personally. Joe will be always be fondly remembered.

Jeff...I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. I have such great memories of your dad, and even though the events occurred so long ago, I remember them so clearly. I'm glad I had a chance to know him.
