Brother,
You ran across my mind today, and I just wanted to let you know how much I miss you, I think about you often and wish I could see you one last time to give you a hug, and tell you I love you man. They say time heals, but I don't know what that means. Every time I see your picture with that awesome smile, it brings tears to my eyes, I'm a First Seargent now, and I tell my Soldiers about you and the good old days. Rest In Peace my friend! Until we meet again at Fiddlers Green! "GARRYOWEN, 7th 1st!"

I love and miss you sooo much until I see you again much love forever and always.

To The Vicente Family, I am so sorry for your tragic and sudden loss. Growing up with Dino and Joey they feel like my extended family and I am very saddened by Joe's passing. I have many fun times that I will never forget. I hope as time goes by your pain begins to lessen. Your family will continue to be in my family's prayers.
Dino, please know that no matter how much time goes by you'll always have a friend in Josh and me. Please call on us if you need anything.

To Dino & Family,

It has been a few years since I had Joe as my NCO back at Fort Hood. He taught me to be a better NCO and taught me to be a better scout. He stood behind me and maintained confidence in me when others didn't. The news of his passing is sad. Joe was loved and liked by many. I know he will be missed. God bless

Joey, I thought that I would see you again boppin' around town. I guess life had a different plan in mind. It's taken me awhile to get around to writing to you because I didnt know what to say. Your passing was a shock to all of us and our hearts are still heavy with sadness and loss. I greive in silence knowing that know one would understand the crazy connection that we have. I hope you are resting in peace and getting the PARTY started for us. Because down here on earth, TIME IS RELATIVE! So, watch over us as we make our crazy mistakes and still be there to pick us all up like you used to. And whatever you do, save some HEAVENLY PEACE FOR US. I will think of you fondly until we meet again Joey. Dont worry Serg,I'll do my best to "hold the fort down," down here while you're away. Send me a sign so I know your looking back down. And know that you had a huge impact on everyone you met and loved. My heart goes out to the Vincente Family, and I hope that you find comfort in knowing that we all loved your little boy.He grew into a fine man. And he is sorely missed. To Dino, I love you too and I hope you are doing ok. Be the best daddy and uncle you can be..Joey would ask for nothing less. Forever in my thoughts and prayers, your Friend,

Love Christie, Craig, Brendan and Evan Bondra

December 26, 2006

To everyone who has wrapped their arms around our family and wiped our tears, thank you.
I will always hold my dearest memories of growing up with Joe, Dino, and Chris in my heart. Not having my goofy brother around will never be the same.
As Joe became a man, he became my best "buddy". He was a loving and protective brother. Joe and my husband had many nights of xbox gaming and talking about the ARMY. He loved our son Brendan dearly and took so much pride in being his godfather. He loved both of our sons and was the best uncle to them. Brendan know throws kisses to heaven to "Uncle Joe".
I know my brother is watching down and protecting my boys.
I love my little brother in life and death. May he eternally rest in peace. I know he will be watching down with his big eyes and smart alec smile and still laugh at the moments he is not physically here to share.
We will always remember Joe as a joker, soldier, brother, friend, and uncle.
There can be no sense made of this tragedy.
Family is not just the same last name or blood. Our family is made of so many people who have come into our hearts and homes. My special thank you to : Chris, Scotty, Billy, Jason, and Mark.
Your body is gone Joe; but your spirit and memory will always remain alive.
We love you Joe.

Joe,
All though we haven't been together in many many years, this sudden and
horrible incident has brought me many tears. We had a special "bond,"
for this you will always be in my heart, the memories and the laughters
will never ever part. I know you are in a better place where there are
no struggles or any strain, i wish i could have helped you, if only i
knew of your pain. I wanted you to know that I was very proud of you,
for serving for our country and all that you accomplished too. I looked
through all of the pictures that I had of You and I, and all that i
kept wondering is why God took you to the sky. I hope you are looking
over me and helping me through this hard time, i have to finish this poem because
i can't find any more words to rhyme. Oh, Joe, just one more thing that
i need to say, I will think of your cute little smile to help me get
through each day.

Mr. and Mrs. V., Christie and Dino,
Just wanted you to know that I loved Joe very much. I hope you all knew
that and he also was a very important part of my life. You all will be
in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you won't be strangers either.
Please call me if you ever need to talk.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

December 18, 2006

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
