I have some pleasant memories of Joseph. He was so quiet and always kind to everyone.
I am sorry that I did not know of his passing and funeral services until the day of his funeral.
I would have been there with the family if I had known it sooner. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. My grandmother, Ruby Whetstone Hughes, was Uncle Wellie's sister and my mother was Hattie Bess Hughes Ruple..

I remember Joseph from the late 40's and early 50's in our little town of North. His home was next door to my Grandparent's home and I would see him walking toward the "main drag or street" always appearing to be deep in thought but not to the extent of failing to return a greeting. He was simply a good person. My condolences to his family.

I remember Joseph as a very kind and caring man who had so much love for his immediate family as well as the extended family that he helped take care of in their senior years! I'm thinking of the family with love and prayers. So sorry we can't be there for the funeral due to my husband's illness. With love, Francis Ann Ruple Felkel, a cousin in Lexington, SC
