Penny was my mother's classmate at St Ann Shrine School, Newark NJ class of 1938 (8th grade). My family lived in River Plaza and Penny's lived across the Navesink River in Red Bank. The last reunion of these classmates was during the 2007 Logue family reunion in Asbury Park. Penny, and my mother got together and I drove then to Absecon for a reunion lunch with a third classmate, Mary Flynn. (A fourth classmate, Theodore Mekler, lived in the same mobile home park as Mom. Theodore provided the class picture).

Dear Cousins,
I am so sorry for your loss. I know what it is like to lose your mom. It is by far the deepest sorrow a child can feel.
Aunt Penny was such a sweet, kind and tender person. In her presence, I felt her warmth and love. She never missed a birthday card for any of us ! My dad looked forward to their conversations to discuss the family and the memories. My dad would always mention how they would make each other laugh ...
Sending hugs and prayers to all of you.
Lovingly,
Laura
