Josephine Rose Obituary
Greece, New York: Age 83, died peacefully on March 24, 2016, in Greece, New York. Joie was born March 8, 1933, in Omaha, Nebraska. On October 29, 1955, she married the love of her life, Robert Raymond Rose, and resided in the Rochester area. Joie is survived by her loving husband, Bob, of 60 years, her brother Raymond and Joyce Shorts; her daughters Amy and Glenn True of North Carolina, Betsy and Ronald Lamay of South Carolina, Ki-Ki and James Gill of Pennsylvania, and Ellie and Greg Archer of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A homemaker and devoted mother, Joie's true joy in life was being with her large family, in addition to following the latest fashion trends, going shopping, going to the movies, sewing, and visiting with her coffee-club friends. Joie and her husband were advisors for the Ogden Baptist Youth Group for many years, and for a number of years, were volunteers for Penn Yan's "Office for the Aging" and for cancer patients.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2016, from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home at 2771 Chili Ave, Rochester, NY. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the Funeral Home immediately following calling hours at 1:00p.m.

Dearest Ellie and family, I am just reading this now and so sorry for your loss. I am sad to have missed the calling hours and service in celebration of her life. Sending hugs and deepest sympathies to you and the entire family.
