Josh Metzler Obituary

Published by North County Times on Mar. 17, 2011.
Josh Metzler, 19 FALLBROOK -- Josh Metzler passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011. He was born October 25, 1991 in Fallbrook, Calif., son of Ken and Lisa Metzler. Josh was a graduate of Fallbrook High School. He was attending Northern Arizona University where he was also working in sales and advertising. Josh loved to volunteer at Riverview Church as a Mexico Outreach participant for eight years, Sunday school teacher, barista, A/V technician, loft house builder and soup kitchen server. He was a member of the Fallbrook FFA, Warriors for Christ, advanced film, performance drama, and Boy scouts where he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. His pastimes were reading, photography, playing guitar, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, weight lifting, recording and editing videos. Josh loved and served our Lord. He was respectful, obedient, resisted peer pressure, had excellent moral character, was amiable, and wise beyond his years. Josh is survived by his parents, Ken and Lisa Metzler; and sisters, Karese de Haan and Christina Metzler. A Celebration of Josh's Life will be held at 2 pm., Saturday, March 19, at Riverview Church in Bonsall, Calif. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of your choice or Riverview Church in Bonsall, Calif. Sign the Guest Book online obits.nctimes.com
