Josh Daniel (Dan) Tumbleson, 52, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 with his family by his side. Dan is survived by his parents, Wanda Skonie of Tennessee and Josh Tumbleson (and his wife Carla) of North Carolina, and by his only son Jake Tumbleson of Dallas, Texas.
Born on April 12, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, Dan's passion for sports and his beloved Chicago Cubs began when he was a child. He was a champion wrestler in both high school and college, and went on to impart his love for sports to his only son and greatest joy, Jake. Dan spent countless hours coaching Jake in youth sports and watching Jake's baseball tournaments and basketball games, in addition to taking Jake to Cubs games and innumerable other professional sporting events. Dan was an avid collector of sports memorabilia and enjoyed nothing more than breaking a box of baseball cards with Jake.
Dan will be remembered by his friends and family as a kind and generous man, whose lifelong loyalty to the Cubs was surpassed only by his devotion to Jake.
Services will be for immediate family only.
