Barton Family,

I am praying for you everyday, i will miss Josh's friendship more than even i understand right now. Josh was one of the first people i met at Fort White High, and i will never forget how kind he was to me. The past 4 or 5 years that i have known Josh have been the best years of my life, and Josh made them all the better. There won't be a day for the rest of my life, that i do not think of Josh, and the awesome person that he was. I know in time the pain will sort of heal, but there will always be a piece of me that died that Tuesday. you have all my prayers, and thank you for raising such a kind, humorous, awesome son, and our friend.

To the family of Josh Glenn Barton,

I am truly sorry for yours and our loss, I have never ever seen Josh sad or mad in class. He always had a smile on. Some times I ask God why do bad things happen to good people, I guess one day when I get to heaven I will ask him my self. But I believe the only thing that we as human-beings can do now is prey to God to help us cope with the loss of Josh. He was a great person and an even better friend. God Bless.
-Always And Forever Love, Gloria Jenkins.

Mrs.Kelly, Mr.Glenn, and Shelby
I have known you guys for years and have been close with you for years also and for this to happen is devasting, but i guess that God needed someone to help him and he choose Josh. Josh was one of the best people I knew and I am so glad I got the chance to be friends with him for so long, I feel bad for the people who never got a chance to meet him, because they were missing out. Josh was a great guy and will be dearly missed, he was like a brother to me, we treated each other like family, and I just want you to know that all my prayers are with you guys and if you ever need anything my family and I are always here for you.
Love always,

Glenn, Kelly, & Shelby,
I will always remember the wonderfully sweet, freckled face fifth grader that I immediately loved. A picture of our smiling faces (it's one that Kelly took of us at school) greets me as I enter my classroom. We are all better people for having Josh grace our lives. I love him very much. He was truly an awesome student and I am blessed to have been his teacher. May God embrace and keep you close.
