Joshua Chambers Obituary
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fair Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Joshua was born April 8, 1984, in Princeton, W.Va. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was employed by City of Reidsville in the sanitation department.
Surviving are mother, Tanis Knight Chambers, of Eden; father, David Chambers, and wife, Debbie, of Princeton, W.Va.; brother, Jeremy Chambers, of Eden; paternal grandparents, Aubrey and Wava Chambers of Princeton, W.Va; maternal grandmother, Mary Knight, of Eden; fiancée, Joy Durham, of Eden.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rev. Carl G. Knight.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Fair Funeral Home.

My dearest Josh,
It´s been 16 years. 16! Our daughter is absolutely beautiful. She´s kind, strong, incredibly smart, caring and every bit the best parts of you. Even some of the incredibly annoying. You know, the stubborn, head strong and temperamental ones. lol. She´s your spitting image. She even curls her lip when she smirks. Just like you did. And her beautiful hair still gets your curls when she´s hot. This last year she´s been excepted into the Future Physicians of America, the Future Business Leaders of America, the National Honor Society, and her high schools chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America. Our girl was always destined to change the world. I knew she would be when you changed mine. I´m so incredibly proud of her and all the parts of you that are within her. I know you guide her from your side and I know you will continue to. I believe you hear me when I´m talking to you about all of my worries when it comes to her. She´ll be driving soon. My mama heart hurts at how fast this has all passed by. I wish so often that you could be here for all of this. That I could laugh at how you´d be pacing the floors over the boys that chase after her and tell me how no one is good enough for her. She will be taking her assessment for Governor´s School in 2 weeks. She´s got a good head on her shoulders. She´s in JROTC and attending her military ball at the end of the month. She is active in church and will be heading to camp this summer with them. She´s thriving so well. I know you´ll continue to look after her and that gives my heart some peace.

JOSH, IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS TODAY SINCE YOU WENT HOME TO BE WITH JESUS. I LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO WRITE AS OFTEN BECAUSE I'VE GOT ALOT MORE JOBS AT WORK, BUT ME AND MOM ARE GETTING THE INERNET AT HOME SO I WILL BE ABLE TO WRITE FROM THERE. Most of you guys have no idea who I am. I lived near him when he lived in Princeton with his dad. Josh was the best guy I know. I couldn't believe it when I was told about it. I lost touch with him and hate myself because of that. I loved your son and brother. When I was told about Joshua my heart was crushed. I was a junior at MCA when Josh was born. Seems just like yesterday..and now today. After losing my dad to cancer I can say that the devastation and hurt never go away...But God will restore your joy. It will take a time of healing and grieving, but if you will give Him your pain he will restore your joy. No, things will never be the same...but in Him is a hiding place of peace and comfort.
