My heart breaks for you Cathy, Jeff, and Jonathan. There is no "right time" to say good bye to a loved one. I hope you find the strength within each of yourselves and from others to help you get through this sad time. You will need each other more then ever right now. I remember Josh as a young boy who was very quite and always smiling. Also, a teenager who had a very witty sense of humor and always smiling. I didn't know him as an adult, I am reading about him now and wish I had known him because he sounds like he was a wonderful, friend, son, & father. I will always think of him smiling.
