Josh- I'm sitting here writing this wondering why you had to go. God has those answers. All i can say was that he needed another giant to watch over his flock, and a giant you are. Though miles kept us apart there wasn't a day that didn't go by that you or John weren't on my mind, or in my prayers.
Growing up i had the joy of having you as my daily alarm clock, because your mom knew that i would rather hit the snooze button, and sleep for a few more minutes. Your mom would open the door, and you would crawl into my room, and crawl onto my bed,and hit me in the head until i rolled over, then you would reach down and grab my cheeks, and give me a big kiss & hug before crawling back to mom, sitting at her feet looking at me to make sure that i would get up. I knew she would send your dad in after me if i didn't get up. Josh you were just like your dad, larger than life with a heart of gold, and had your moms sensitive nature. You were taken too soon, but we take comfort in the fact that your in heaven with our extended family watching over us. Give nana a kiss for me "Big Guy",and remember there will not be a day that goes by that I won't be thinking of you.. I love you with all my heart & will love you always & forever xoxoxo,

I send your family my condolences during your time of grief
May God bless your souls,
You may be wondering why did he have to go
But only God and Heaven knows
When the day comes you'll see him at the crossroads
But until that day
Just know God is watching over Josh now as Josh watches over you.

Joshy. I am so happy that I was able to speak to you in your final days and convey to you how much Sierra and I missed you. I only wish that I could have seen you then. You were the best friend ever and wont and can't be replaced. You and I shared so many similarities.you brought us dinner in the middle of the night after a long shift. You were always there for us and we loved you like family. Thank you so much for all u did for my sister too. She loved you more than you knew. You were the most gentle and kind person and we admired you greatly. Friday the world lost a giant. But heaven gained a saint. Even a perfect afterlife, will be improved by your presence. You were everything a man should be. I know ill see you again Oaksy. So instead of goodbye, "till next time". Peace brotha. We love you.

We haven't stopped 4 a second thinking about you & your adventures. So full of life & love was your heart. That is one of the things we will miss the most about you. Your little sisters will remember all the times you carried them home from school on your broad shoulders or played with them more then they expected. You are the best son, step-son & brother that anyone cud ever ask for. We all will keep your memories alive for as long as we are here. I will miss our talks we had when we were alone. You were also a great friend to everyone in your life and there is proof from all the love & outreach from soooo many ppl. We love you & miss you deeply, until we meet again R.I.P.

Josh, it seems like such a short time ago when your mother asked me to be in the delivery room with her when you entered this world. She was so happy that day and I was very happy to share it with her. I wish that I had gotten to know you as everyone else has, I know that I really missed out on that. To Jim and Muriel and all of Josh's close family, I am so very sorry for your loss! Cling tight to your precious memories! You are all in my prayers right now.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
