News Death Notice

WEEKLEY, Joshua Alan 31, of Columbia, South Carolina, formerly of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly June 17, 2016 in South Carolina. He was born August 31, 1984 in Springfield, the son of Chris Alan and Lisa Marie (Pollock) Weekley. Survivors include his parents; Lisa and Chris Weekley, two children; Dylan Alan Weekley and his mother Tisha Daniels and Sophie Weekley and her mother Tina Hess, one brother; Jason (Robyn) Weekley, one sister; Melisa (Mike) Gibson all of Springfield, his maternal grandfather; Richard Pollock, Urbana and several nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Ella and Brady Weekley and his maternal grandmother; Ruth Pollock. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 8:00PM with Pastor Joseph Boysel officiating.

Josh an I didn't see eye to eye at times. But we understood each other. He knew I wanted the best for him. We had a few good long talks an became fairly close over the years. An he knew I treated him as if he was one of my kids. And I would tell him when he was acting up like I do my own kids. I will always love u Josh. An I will try my best to make sure Sophie has everything she needs for you. An will tell her how much u loved her an that u had a heart of gold. My heart goes out to ur family. To the Weekley family I'm so sorry for your loss of your son, brother, uncle, dad,nephew and cousin. My condolences to you all. I will keep you all in my prayers. Rest in heaven Josh.

I will never forget your little grin or your laugh or how I thought you were the cutest kid around and I had the biggest crush on you for as long as I can remember. I wish we would have stayed in touch through all these years and for that I am sorry. My heart is crushed to think of the loss of my dear nephew. He had a beautiful smile, a precious heart and a passionate love for family. He was like another son to our family and will be deeply missed. The most precious memories were the times he spent with our family when he was young. Please watch over all of us. Sissy loves you baby brother always have always will in my heart you will remain.I keep remembering all the good times and laughs we shared, I was talking to Jon Brown yesterday and we was talking about you always being our little side kick if we went you was right with us living it up having the time of our lives and Rawnie has old pics of us which brought back so many memories of all the great times.
