Joshua Weinstein Obituary
Joshua attended Pittsfield Public Schools, was a graduate with honors from Brown University, and attended Tufts University Medical School. He was most recently employed as a milieu therapist at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic - at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He also worked as a math and science tutor and his goal was to empower his students. Josh was a wordsmith who devoured good books, loved music, nature, and the arts. He was smart, creative, open minded, and kind.
In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his adoring sister, Laura Israelite Clews of Pittsburgh.
A family graveside funeral service will be held in Preston, Connecticut on Friday. The family will receive condolences on Sunday July 1, 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Knesset Israel Synagogue on Colt Road in Pittsfield. Minyan will take place in the library at 7:00 p.m.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial donations in Joshua's memory may be made to Resolve Crisis Center Services, 333 Braddock Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. 15208.

Diane,
My heart felt condolences on Josh's passing. I cannot imagine how painful this has been for you and Laura. I don't have the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. I missed Josh's later years but remember how special he was as a young boy. He was such a sweet child with a engaging smile and a vocabulary years beyond his age. I know he will be missed.

Dear Diane and Charlie, I am so so sorry for you loss of dear Joshua..he was such a great little boy when I cared for him when he was little. My Dan and him had such a great time along with my daughters. Joshua was family to us at they time. I will always have great memories of him and keep him close to my heart. I am so very sorry, Diane, Charlie and Laura. I have not seen Josh since he was a teenager. What a great kid! It sounds as though he pursued a career in helping to support others. What a GREAT way to be. May you welcome the support of family and friends as you cope with this tragedy. Terry will see you Sunday, but I will be out of town and wanted to express my deepest sympathy.
