Joshua Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 15, 2023.
Joshua Thomas Wilson (May 4,1989 June 27,2023) of Houston, Tx passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Beloved by family and friends, Joshua was born in Galveston, TX at UTMB on May 4th, 1989. He was announced to the waiting room patrons by the Doctor proclaiming, "I caught him like a football!" Born to Jacqueline A. and Glen A. Wilson, Joshua had the honor of being the 1st Grandchild of Charlene (Gooch) Wasaff-Hankey, Brian B. Hankey, Patricia (Gran) Bell and Stephen A. Wasaff; the 1st great-Grandchild of Mary Lou and Jack E. Wilson and Jerri and Alex Wasaff; the 1st great-great Grandchild of Irene D. Wilson: living all at once. From the hospital the celebration continued at the illustrious Flagship Hotel. The family was happily complete with the addition of his brother Jeremy Charles Wilson in 1991.

Joshua grew up in Sugar Land, TX. He enjoyed playing soccer throughout his adolescent years. He was a member of the Townewest Swim team, was a Boy Scout and played football for Kempner High School. Of course, he always had a keen interest in computer technology. He built his first computer at 15 years of age. After graduating from Kempner Joshua began courses at Wharton County Junior College. He also began developing a business building computers and PC repairs, which he maintained throughout his life. Joshua became the definite go-to Computer Guru.

But this was not his only pursuit. His Uncle Jason Wasaff of Wilson/Wasaff Group, LLC played a significent role in Joshua's life. Jason hired Joshua as his personal assistant with the intent to groom him in the machinations of commercial real estate and to familiarize him with commercial leasing. After several years this career path was expanded by his Uncle Ryan G. Wasaff of Welcome Group, LLC by having Joshua assist with marketing, advertising, presentations, website development and promotions. As satisfying and beneficial this training was, Joshua eventually decided to focus on his computer enterprise.

Joshua loved his family and was a great friend. He was kind-hearted, trustworthy, loyal, and a good listener. He was very involved with his grandparents as well. He was always available to drive his grandmother(s) wherever needed and ready to share a conversation with them. His favorite topics for discussion were physics and the universe. He continued to broaden his mind by investigating the science of the cosmos. His fascination with nano technology led him to study medical developments for creating bionic solutions for the human body. Also, natural processes and formulas to reverse the clock on biological ageing.

He had always enjoyed cooking. Although his first choice would be to order take-out, he challenged himself to cook gourmet dishes such as his recent delicious Chicken Marsala. And it was rare to see him without a smoothie in his hand. He also loved cats and had many favorites throughout his life. His current kitty is the beautiful tabby, Molly. She is well taken care of by family.

Joshua T. Wilson was a caring son and grandson. He will be sorely missed by the family and his friends.

Joshua is also survived by his Neice Dakota M. Wilson, Aunt Riki Wilson, Aunt Heather Donaho, Cousins Asher Donaho, Lauren Wasaff, Madison Wasaff, Cindi Wilson-Proler.

A special acknowledgement to his much-loved great-grandparents who are no longer with us: Mildred (Grandma) and Charles (Tiny) Cook, Mary Lou (MeeMaw) and Jack (Pop) Wilson, Alex (Papa) Wasaff.

A commemorative event honoring the memory of Joshua's life will be scheduled in Galveston, TX.

I Will Never Leave You nor Forsake You.

Joshua is my first nephew. When I think back to summertime as a little kid, I never hesitate to think of him and all the fun we had growing up. Me, being six months older, I always had to give him a hard time telling his friends that I was his "Auntie" and he would insist that we were cousins! Ha! He had a huge heart, a great sense of humor, and no matter the time that passed between us seeing each other, we would hit it right off every time we got together. Joshua is loved by my family and I. He will always have a special place in our hearts and minds. Many prayers are being said for his family and friends, and I hope one day we will see each other again. I love you Josh, RIP.

I'm so heart broken to have lost a wonderful and loving Son. Joshua came into this world full spirited and full of life always wanting to achieve what other could only dream to achieve. He always continued to have a positive outlook on life and always worked hard to make his dreams come true. Joshua was a go getter never giving up on anything he was working on and I know as he makes his way to Heaven he will be free to achieve his heavenly goals and shine as he did on this earth. My son I will truly miss and Love you everyday and we will meet again I Love You!!!
